Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

You are what you worship. We are called to love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength, and all your mind. As well as love your neighbor as yourself. And in view of God’s mercy, to offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is our true and proper worship. Their are a lot of things in this world that pull us away from this and demand our time and energy, which takes away from our reasonable worship to God. This is why things like music has such a strong pull in us. Whatever you listen to music wise influences you. In your heart, mind, will, and emotions. It could be just for leisure and relaxation. For thought and innovation.  For guilt and frustration. Music has a way of grabbing our soul and conforming us to the lyrics we sing. This is what Scripture does for us when we become immerse in it whether it be by meditation or song. You are what you worship. Think about that next you dwell on a song to long. Watch how it becomes apart of you. Remember what you give your heart to becomes a treasure in your life that you constantly seek. The LORD is exalted, for he dwells on high; he will fill Zion with his justice and righteousness. He will be the sure foundation for your times, a rich store of salvation and wisdom and knowledge; the fear of the LORD is the key to this treasure. Those who brag about the useless idols they worship are terribly ashamed, and all the false gods bow down to the LORD.
