Proverbs of a 40 yr old man

If you insult poor people, then you hate God. If you mistreat the poor, you insult your Creator who made them; if you are kind to them, you show him respect. Do not be glad when other people suffer. God will punish you for this. God cares about poor people. He does not want them to suffer. He wants us to help them. Rich and poor have this in common: The LORD is the Maker of them all. Amen. For no one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God. Stop acting so proud and haughty! Don’t speak with such arrogance! For the LORD is a God who knows what you have done; he will judge your actions. Our LORD, you break the bows of warriors, but you give strength to everyone who stumbles. Those who were well fed are now starving, and those who were starving are now full. The childless woman now has seven children, and the woman with many children wastes away. The LORD gives both death and life; he brings some down to the grave but raises others up. The LORD makes some poor and others rich; he brings some down and lifts others up. Yes, He lifts the poor from the dust and the needy from the garbage dump. He sets them among princes, placing them in seats of honor. For all the earth is the LORD’s, and he has set the world in order. He will guard the feet of his faithful servants, but the wicked will be silenced in the place of darkness. It is not by strength that one prevails; those who oppose the LORD will be broken. The Most High will thunder from heaven; the LORD will judge the ends of the earth. He gives power to his kings and priests and He increases the strength of his anointed ones. He does not take His eyes off the righteous, but He enthrones them with kings and exalts them forever. You might say in your heart, "The power and strength of my hands have made this wealth for me." But remember that it is the LORD your God who gives you the power to gain wealth. The poor and the oppressor have this in common: the LORD gives light to the eyes of both. There are poor people. And there are evil rulers. These people are poor because their rulers are evil. God allows the people to know this. And God also allows the rulers to realize this too. He allows them all to see the reality of the situation. Poverty is evil scourge in this world. The wicked have no definite answer for this but the righteous live and thrive by every word that comes from the mouth of God. They have been made wealthy by the riches of knowing Christ! For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich. But a person who gets ahead by oppressing the poor or by showering gifts on the rich will end in poverty. And a ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops.
