Oh To Be Wise-Meditations
Sodom and Gommarah are famously known as cities that consumed themselves in debauchery and indulgences. Aside from that, what brought there final downfall and destruction was the love lost for their neighbor and property. They began to live out passions and desires that no human law could fairly legislate. When a people start voting for rights instead of voting for what it's right, it brings a fire that consumes the sacredness of a people. Putting aside their conscious, they watch their fellow citizens starve and die from lack of restraint and knowledge. All this is done in the name of freedom. We must care more about the soul of our nation and it's people the way God does. Just because you have the right to do something doesn't mean it's beneficial. Everything is permissible in a free society but we must not be mastered by anything. It is easy for nation to be enslaved to freedom. But only under law can a people be truly free. And what law is this, the law people agree to live under. I pray our nation would remain under God and protect ourselves from self-annihilation.
