Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Lord, you allow rain to fall on the good and the bad. You allow water to grow weeds in our lives, and these weeds if not tended to will spread like wildfire. Adversity is your way of keeping me accountable, trial is what keeps me close to you. If life is great and I feel no need for God, then I would perish in my sins. A slow inevitably death to everything I love and hold dear. I need the persistant voice of God to open my eyes to what is truth. If I do not tend to the weeds in my life my heart and mind will grow wild in sin. I can become foolish, disobedient, and enslaved to various lusts and pleasures by not guarding my heart. Spending my time in malice, envy, and hate instead of prayer and devotion to God. There is no blessing for the person that does not endure. This life will bring much trouble. But when we are tried and tested true, a crown of life is promised for those who love Jesus. God shows undeserved kindness to everyone. That's why he appointed Christ Jesus to choose you to share in his eternal glory. You will suffer for a while, but God will make you complete, steady, strong, and firm. Rain is coming, and weeds will grow. Rejoice though, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances. Tending to the soil of your heart while Holy Spirit bears its fruit in you. For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Meditate Gen. 3:17
