Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Lord, come into my orchard, the place where Holy Spirit grows spiritual fruit. Walk amongst the different pure shrubs and trees and prune what you see fit. Through the knowledge of God and of Jesus my Lord, his divine power has given me everything I need for life and godliness. My heart is full of repentance, a fertile soil for righteousness to be cultivated in my life. I have escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires, and I am blessed to be a partaker of Christ divine nature. I must do my best to improve my faith by adding goodness, understanding, self-control, patience, devotion to God, concern for others, and love. If I keep growing in this way I will bear fruit that shows my life useful to the Kingdom. But if don't grow in relationship with Christ, I am like someone who is nearsighted or blind. Having forgotten that my past sins are forgiven and I can grow a garden of spiritual life. Jesus, I thank you for your perfect peace that is living inside me. You are caretaker of my orchard and I give you all control. Make me beautiful on the inside as you are.
