Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Will someone remember me? What if everyone I know has passed away, family and friends alike to remind me of who I am? So many great stories about ourselves we forget, and loved ones are there to remind us of them.Or will someone trip over my grave years from now and read my epitaph in memory of me. What is it in the human heart that we do not want to be forgotten? Oh Jesus remember when you come into your Kingdom! Let me drink of the fruit of the vine on that glorious day in our Fathers Kingdom. Thank you for the blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins. You rememebered me on that Cross even though I was not even born yet. It is too lofty for me even to try to understand your ways. You knew me in my mothers womb, oh Lord you know me and are acquainted with all my ways. Remember my deeds, my God, and don't forget the deeds of faithful love I have done for the body of Christ, for the stranger within my midst. There is so much I have done wrong and have not lived accoring to your truth. Forgive the sins and errors of my youth. The rebellious acts of pride I did in your holy presence. In your constant love and goodness, remember me, Lord! You remembered me when I was humiliated because your mercy endures forever. Lord just like you raise the poor from the dust and lift the needy out of the ash and heap, seating them with nobles, even the princes of his own people! Lift my poor spirit and raise me up as high as your mountains. So high and so close to your presence that you will never be forgotten in my heart. Lord you honor the childless wife in her home; you make her happy by giving her children. Praise the Lord! We are not forgotten, we are children of the Most High God forever. Meditate Ps. 106:4
