Proverbs of a 36 yr old man

I just wanted to go this far and turn back. To go and get what I want and return without any problems. But sin has taken me farther than I needed to go and now the consequences are starting to roll. I just wanted to stay for a certain amount of time and leave when it was convenient for me. To enjoy sinful pleasure and walk away scott free. But sin has kept me longer than I wanted to stay. I had an amount I was willing to pay and not spend more than I needed to. To pay the minimum and exploit the most that I can. But sin has cost me more than I wanted to pay. It was sin that used the commands of God as a way of making me have all kinds of desires. For without the Law, sin is dead. At one time I lived without understanding the law of God. As soon as I heard the commandment, sin came to life and I found that the very command that was intended to bring life actually brought death. Does this mean that because of our glorious faith we do away with the Law? No, not at all; instead, we uphold the Law. We make it even more powerful by allowing Christ to write the law of love on our hearts and minds. Study Ps. 10:3
