Battle Prayer Notes 3/28/23

Good morning brother,

Day one topic: A pure mind. God through the power of the Gospel is transforming our mind and thoughts. Whatever is pure and holy, think on these things. And a mind stayed in Christ is Gods will and is apart of our sanctification. Let’s share and talk about how our thought life is doing. And are we submitting daily to the cleansing of the word and Holy Spirit in our minds?

A sound mind for the spirit of fear!

Your word have I hid in my heart LORD that I may not sin against thee.

Before you were born again you thought like the world.

Rom. 12:2 be transformed by the renewing of the mind.

Impure thoughts are being in council with the devil and thinking did God really say.

A human being usually think 50000-6000 thoughts a day. Almost half of them are negative.

Your mind needs to be rewired by the Word and  Spirit.

Your brain is programmed to fight or flight. Self preservation and to only worry about yourself.

When your mind is renewed in Christ you start thinking about yourself less and more about others.

Thinking about the worst outcome is the most common thought in people. For a child of God that is not how we want to think and live.

Think and live.

It’s takes great effort to keep your mind stayed on the LORD.

All things. Think about that. Only a certain people know what that means.

The devil gives horrible and crappy council.

Thinking properly and differently gives us hope.

Your mind wants and needs so much. But you must learn that you only need God in Christ.

Our minds are being transformed by the power of the Word.

We need to feed our minds good things.

The mind is like a garden which can grow beauty or it can grow ugliness. It can produce flowers or it can bring forth weeds. It must be tended with care and with diligence. It must be disciplined by conscious exercise. The mind must be exercised like the body—thinking on good and wholesome things.

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans‬ ‭12‬:‭2‬ ‭

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23‬:‭4‬ ‭

Let’s not give the enemy any power in our lives.

Eight symptoms of having a transformed mind:

1. You are full of hope.

2. The impossible seems reasonable.

3. You live in peace and you don't worry; your speculations are positive.

4. You like yourself and even rejoice in your weakness, knowing that when and where you are weak, God is strong.

5. You are quick to forgive, and you freely give others grace and mercy.

6. You are confident and thankful.

7. You believe in others and give them the benefit of the doubt.

8. You know how to think tri-dimensionally (intelligently, emotionally and spiritually).

For who among people knows the thoughts of a person except the spirit of the person that is in him? So also the thoughts of God no one knows, except the Spirit of God. Now we have not received the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may know the things freely given to us by God. We also speak these things, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, combining spiritual thoughts with spiritual words.

1 Corinthians 2:11‭-‬13

We need to realize we need God in our minds and thought life.

Satan attacks all of us in many ways, but perhaps his most vigorous assault is brought to bear upon our thought lives. Satan knows that what we think, eventually makes us what we are. He knows that our thoughts often lead to actions—and so he works on our thought lives. Each of us is responsible for what we welcome into our mind.

We must keep our reverence before the LORD so he can give us that same power.

For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God.”

‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭1‬:‭6‬-‭8‬

There are three voices in our head: our voice, the enemy, and Gods voice.

Let’s grow in the power and knowledge of Christ!

When we are alone and idle is when our minds like to wander.

You need community and battle brothers to help with each other with thoughts that are bringing you down.

“At once the Spirit sent him out into the wilderness, and he was in the wilderness forty days, being tempted by Satan. He was with the wild animals, and angels attended him.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬-‭13‬

A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word! Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭23‬

We must bulldoze new neural pathways. Metaphorically speaking we need to hack a fresh trail through the uninhabited jungle of your mind. The Word of God is like a machete in your hand, and every verse you speak like a growling lion is Hemingway a pathway into a new way of thinking. The more often you abandon the six-lane freeway of destructive thinking and take the new walking trail of God-thoughts, the faster you will transform your mind. Soon the six-lane freeway will be ove4grown with vegetation, and the walking trail will become a Highway.

A person finds joy in giving an apt reply— and how good is a timely word! Proverbs‬ ‭15‬:‭23‬

Focus your mind on the light and the darkness will flee.

Like a chaste virgin God wants to purify your mind and keep it unspotted from the world. Even if you have lost your purity you can be pure again. You can have the pure and holy Mind of Christ!

Thank you for another great day of zoom battle prayer.
