Oh To Be Wise Meditations

LORD, I recognize my faults; I am always conscious of my sins. I have more troubles than I can count. My sins are all around me, and I can't find my way. My sins outnumber the hairs on my head, and I feel weak. My problems go from bad to worse. Oh, save me from them all! I take comfort in knowing your love has numbered the very hairs on my head. I get strength of heart knowing you are still there after my foolishness. Like a good father you have compassion and patience on me. Against you, and you alone, have I sinned; I have done what is evil in your sight. You will be proved right in what you say, and your judgment against me is just. I know you cannot be mocked or be put to shame. What I have reaped is because of what I have sown. Make no mistake about this: You can never make a fool out of God. Though I have hurt others directly I know ultimately I have sinned against you. For what I do unto the least of them I have done to you. Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son. How great the father's love for us that we should be called the sons and daughters of God! These children of God were dead, but now have come back to life. They were lost and now have been found. Nothing clean can ever come from anything as unclean as human beings. That is why Jesus I come to you who is truly clean and holy. And I ask that you bring me out of your presence as innocent and as fresh as a spiritual baby out of your womb. Only in you can my guilt be washed away and new life in the Spirit be here to stay.
