Oh To Be Wise Meditations

What do you need from the LORD? If you ask He will do it. By faith go. Believe you have received. You came empty but now your leaving full. You came hungry but now you are leaving full. You came thirsty but now your leaving filled. You came dead but now your leaving filled with spirit and life. Seek the LORD while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. This is what the LORD says: "In the time of favor I will answer You, and in the day of salvation I will help You; I will keep You and appoint You to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land, to apportion its desolate inheritances, I will say to the prisoners, ‘Come out in freedom,’ and to those in darkness, ‘Come into the light.’ They will be my sheep, grazing in green pastures and on hills that were previously bare. They will neither hunger nor thirst. The searing sun will not reach them anymore. For the LORD in his mercy will lead them; he will lead them beside cool waters. And I will make my mountains into level paths for them. The highways will be raised above the valleys. See, my people will return from far away, from lands to the north and west, and from as far south as Egypt.” Shout for joy, you heavens; rejoice, you earth; burst into song, you mountains! For the LORD comforts his people and will have compassion on his afflicted ones. I see a life squander in sin and foolishness. But upon returning from the throneroom of Christ Jesus I see a life restored, filled with the every spiritual blessing and riches. Praise God, what was sown on good soil, the one who hears the word and understands it. Begins to bear fruit and yields in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and in another thirty. Oh what joy in the day of harvest! The humble will be filled with fresh joy from the LORD. The poor will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel. Those who sow with tears will reap with songs of joy. They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest. Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
