Oh To Be Wise Meditations
The devil sees your weakness and hones in. He sifts us like wheat, patiently and methodically creating strongholds in our lives. To the point where we cannot function in life, let alone have faith in God. He gives us what we want when we want, no matter if there is sorrow to come with it. The weakness we have allowed to be nurtured in us will eventually lead to death if we let it. I know that it is a little extreme but the guilt and sorrow that sin brings is great hurt and pain. All wicked actions are sin, but not every sin leads to death. We know that God’s children do not make a practice of sinning, for God’s Son holds them securely, and the evil one cannot touch them. We know that we are children of God and that the world around us is under the control of the evil one. And we know that the Son of God has come, and he has given us understanding so that we can know the true God. And now we live in fellowship with the true God because we live in fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ. He is the only true God, and he is eternal life. The LORD wants to be our strength in our weakness. Though we are hellbent towards sin, Jesus can make us strong to overcome weakness and that by faith. That is the most amazing part of our salvation. That by faith in Jesus we can move mountains that have shackled us down in fear for so long. Although he was weak when he was nailed to the cross, he now lives by the power of God. We are weak, just as Christ was. But you will see that we will live by the power of God, just as Christ does. I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. We are broken weak people in need of supernatural strength that only comes from God himself. The quicker we realize this the quicker we will gain strength for this new day. And don't worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today. There is strength for today in Jesus name.
