Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Jesus called a little child to him and put the child among them. Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven. LORD Jesus, make me trainable like a young children. Able to be a sponge of your presence and grow in wisdom and stature with God and man. Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me. My heart is not proud, LORD, my eyes are not haughty; I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. My heart and mind are focused on you daily. Train me Holy Spirit and make me strong for the day of adversity. Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be mature. People act like fools they have not known the Love and Discipline of our Heavenly Father. They are foolish children, without understanding. They are skilled in doing evil, but they know not how to do good. So you must live as God’s obedient children. Don’t slip back into your old ways of living to satisfy your own desires. You didn’t know any better then. Yes, God in Christ wants to train up his children of faith so that as they mature in life we do not depart from him. I share this with you with holy fear and trembling: Luke 18:17, I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it.”
