Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Standing on a high moral ground is a privilege from the LORD our God. We stand on the Rock of Christ, away from the raging waters sin and evil desires that drown us for so many years. It is by the grace of God that we can live a moral and honorable life before God and man. That is why must stand on Gods word in humility and truth. By this we can be sure that we have come to know Him: if we keep His commandments. There is a call of holiness that we are to live in. More than just obedience but actually a living sacrifice. People who do evil don't want to obey God. They think the commandments are burdensome and hard to keep. They have not realized its more than just obedience. Its growing in the knowledge of God in Christ and letting His presence in you renew and change. Jesus makes you willing to obey. Yes, He gives us the joy of our salvation, and make us willing to obey him. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls. But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. The LORD wants us to have high morals and to be partakers of his holiness. What shall we say, then? Is the law sinful? Certainly not! Nevertheless, I would not have known what sin was had it not been for the law. Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it?
