Oh To Be Wise Meditations

I came naked from my mother’s womb, and I will be naked when I leave. The LORD gave me what I had, and the LORD has taken it away. Should send shivers down our spine thinking about being naked in judgment before the LORD God. Adam and Eve experienced ever so quickly feeling the name of their nakedness. Until God provided them a covering. Imagine the day of judgment where there is no covering for sin and shame. Where the blood of Christ is trampled and all their is left is the terrible expectation of God’s judgment and the raging fire that will consume his enemies. The fires of hell are to profound to explain, an everlasting fire that leaves a continually gnashing of teeth inside of continual praises to God. For if we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth their is no sacrifice for sins is left. Oh what a scary and fearful thought caught in judgment in the hands of the living God! If the righteous are barely saved, what will happen to godless sinners? Like God covering Adam and Eve in the garden so God in Christ will cover us with his light and robe of righteousness. And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation. Naked I come before you LORD Jesus. Cover me with Righteousness and lead me into the way of everlasting. The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.
