Oh To Be Wise Meditations
I was thinking of Wendy's Fast Food commercial where they advertised never frozen fresh beef on there sandwiches. I love the thought of that, freshness tastes so good and its worth pursuing especially if your hungry. The LORD has a fresh word for us every day, just like a well keeps its water fresh. The Word of the LORD of living and active, alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires. The faithful love of the LORD never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning. Jesus gives us his fresh manna every morning on our hearts. We delight in the law of the LORD, meditating on it day and night. We are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Our leaves never wither, and we prosper in all we do. But not the wicked! They are like worthless chaff, scattered by the wind. They will be condemned at the time of judgment. Sinners will have no place among the godly. For the LORD watches over the path of the godly, but the path of the wicked leads to destruction. The wicked have no freshness and live on stall and quick drying desires. Gods word is fresh every day, never frozen fresh beef.
