Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Our Heavenly Father knows how to raise children. So know in your heart that just as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God disciplines you. He does not do everything for them. He trains them in the way they should go and they will not depart from it later. He sends trials to produce our characters. He allows temptations to build our dependence on him. And he allows tribulations to make us more like the image of Christ. The devil has created many spoiled sons and daughters that are lazy and wicked. Chained to sin and desire the enemy gives them cheap thrills and they destroy there souls away from God and discipline as sons. This is how we know who the children of God are and who the children of the devil are: Anyone who does not do what is right is not God’s child, nor is anyone who does not love their brother and sister. Little children, let us love not in word and speech, but in action and truth. But when we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned with the world. I will be his Father, and he will be My son. When he does wrong, I will discipline him with the rod of men and with the blows of the sons of men.
