Oh To Be Wise Meditations
I will carry you and you will carry me. The LORD will carry us. Why do we bear burdens by ourselves? God in Christ wants to give us a light yoke. Something we can bear and actually be a blessing to someone else. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When we are troubled, we will be able to give others the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. Listen to what Paul says here to the Corinthians, "If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you patient endurance of the same sufferings that we suffer." Amazing how the love of God can overflow in our hearts and lives and we actually start to strengthen and care for another. So many people want to do this life only. They want to do things there way and want no help from anybody. Not so with the Body of Christ, it is unity in love with the bond of peace. So be confident that as you share in the sufferings of Christ, you will also share in the comfort God gives us. Let love be your only debt! If you love others, you have done all that the Law demands. Yes, share, carry each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. We who are strong ought to bear with the shortcomings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Lets do life together the same way Jesus is doing life with us daily. Hear the LORD say, "Even to your old age I am he, and to gray hairs I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save." Oh fellow believer be sure of this, He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
