Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Don't get so buried in worry that you don't worship God. The enemy likes to steal our blessings and joy by causing us to worry and doubt Gods word and character. Because he is righteous, the LORD has exalted his glorious law. If we live trusting in God we save ourselves from sin and death, and from the devourer himself of this world. Many of us are living robbed and plundered, enslaved, imprisoned, and trapped lives. We are fair game for anyone and have no one to protect us, no one to take us back home to our peace of mind and safety. The things of this world have busied us into both spiritual and physical poverty. The LORD will provide for us through the power of the Gospel as leave the ways of the world behind. What the world thinks is worthless, useless, and nothing at all is what God has used to destroy what the world considers important. As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God. God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. We need God desperately but the problem is we don't want to live for him. Pursuing righteousness we know will bring great blessings in our lives. But we need more than just physical prosperity. We need prosperity of soul so that we can live the abundant life Christ has given us and called us to live. Worship the LORD today, let go of the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches and the desires for other things that enter in us and choke the word, and it proves an unfruitful life with no purpose or meaning.
