Oh To Be Wise Meditations
I was driving on a open road minding my own business and all of us sudden I hear railroad lights with long bars ready to block my entry. I had enough time to drive through the lowering bars, but others did not. When I had past I saw the train come to my left still a far distance but getting close. I looked behind me in my rear view mirror and stay cars just barely make it.. Dangerous game to play dodging trains. I made me think of judgment in the last days, of God separating the sheep from the goats. “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all. “It was the same in the days of Lot. People were eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed. On that day no one who is on the housetop, with possessions inside, should go down to get them. Likewise, no one in the field should go back for anything. Remember Lot’s wife! Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it. Go in through the narrow gate. The gate to destruction is wide, and the road that leads there is easy to follow. A lot of people go through that gate. So many people are living the open road life caring nothing about the eternal things that matter most. The temporal things are what we so easily live for not realizing that a Holy Train is coming to take Gods redeemed home. The saints come marching in while those who never even attempted to confront the crossroads of life. God is making all things new through King Jesus, you need to be ready for when that train and its Holy Conductor comes through and not be left behind in sin and carousing. Look, I see the lights flashing and the bar of judgment starting with the house of God. Be ready for the LORD comes and no one knows the hour. And a great road will go through that once deserted land. It will be named the Highway of Holiness. Evil-minded people will never travel on it. It will be only for those who walk in God’s ways; fools will never walk there.
