Oh To Be Wise Meditations
There is power in the Gospel! For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power. The message of the cross is foolish to those who are headed for destruction! But we who are being saved know it is the very power of God. Oh Jesus, I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed—a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: “The righteous will live by faith.”
God is awesome in his sanctuary. The God of Israel gives power and strength to his people. Praise be to God!
Although Jesus was weak when he was nailed to the cross, he now lives by the power of God. Though we are weak, just as Christ was. You will soon see that we all live by the power of God, just as Christ does. Our minds are being renewed daily and we live and move through the power of Holy Spirit in us. The Spirit of Christ is power over sin!
