Proverbs of 38 yr old man

My Adonai. My LORD and Master. I will make sure to fear you LORD and serve you faithfully with all my heart. May I never fail to consider what great things you have done for me. Protect me, LORD God! I run to you for safety, and I have said, "Only you are my Lord! Every good thing I have is a gift from you." In heaven I have only you, and on this earth you are all I want. Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the LORD our God, till he has mercy upon us. Jesus taught that God was His Master as an example for us to follow. Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.( John 14:10) The concept of Adonai has to do with God's position of leadership in our lives and not oppression. So many times in His earthly ministry, Jesus acknowledged God as Adonai. The Son willingly came to Earth in obedience to His Father. Jesus showed His disciples what it looked like to be fully submitted to God as Master. He taught that by following Him and surrendering ourselves to God, we would receive great blessings. We were slaves to sin and in bondage to death. Jesus has freed us so we can master sin in our lives. He is our great Master and Adonai.
