Proverbs of a 37 yr old man

Jesus is the True Vine and the Father is the keeper of the vineyard. If a branch has no fruit, God cuts it shorter. He does this so that the branch will have more fruit. Jesus says to stay joined to him like a branch is connected to a tree. Just as a branch cannot produce fruit unless it stays joined to the vine, so you cannot produce the evidence of your faith unless you stay joined in relationship with Christ. So many branches have withered off in relationship onto the ground that has been cursed by sin. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return. Jesus was killed by being nailed to a Cross. Yes, hanging on a tree he poured out his life for all humanity, and it is in Him that all things are being made new. The roots of His Love are reversing the curse of sin and death in our world. One soul at a time he is pruning as He sees fit. You didn’t choose Christ. He chose you. He appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using his name according to his will. Your new life in Christ is your branch. When connected God is pruning you to bring vigor to your faith. Shooting new growth in the weak sections of your heart. Also his pruning provides cut and shape to the things in our lives that have grown out of balance. Gods careful pruning removes unhealthy dead wood bringing structural soundness to our hearts. His proper pruning can keep people around us safe from dropping debris because we are living changed lives. God keeps our boundary hedges under control keeping our minds clear and our prayers humble. Our pruning can help provide better air circulation for others to ripen. And lastly, God's pruning will also allow more light to come to our hearts and minds. Many times we become shaded and lose the light of heaven we so desperately need to grow our faith. God disciplines those he loves, he wants you to bear much fruit for His Kingdom. Yes, we are truly his children if we accept his pruning.
