Proverbs of a 37 yr old man

Open criticism is better than unexpressed love. An open rebuke better than than hidden love. Meaning better to correct someone openly than to let them think you don't care for him at all. A truly good friend will openly correct you. In the end, people appreciate honest criticism far more than flattery. To flatter friends is to lay a trap for their feet. Do not hid your love but show your love by speaking the truth. We all need to know the truth. We need to know when we are wrong. We need to accept words of correction. These words may not seem pleasant. We might feel terrible when we hear these words. We might prefer to hear that we are right. But a lie does not help us. You need truth in love from someone. Especially from those who claim to love you. Study Prov. 28:23
