Proverbs of a 38 yr old man
Money is not the proof of your success, it’s just the reward. The real proof is in the connections you have built over time. And in the character that success has produced. Money comes and goes, but a heart for wisdom becomes a residual income. So many people follow the rich for advice and leave empty handed. Better to ask a wise man for advice than a rich man. A wise man gives wisdom to everyone that asks. While the rich man is worried he will give all his secrets away. The wise man has unlimited resources in the LORD. The rich man has to hold on to dear life to manage his fortune. Be wise and follow the wisdom that comes from the LORD. The rich don’t even leave a crumb behind to share. It’s theirs and they even lick the crumbs off the floor to prevent you from success. Even correction from someone wise is better by far than praise from fools. So are wise people really better off than fools? Do poor people gain anything by being wise and knowing how to act in front of others? Better what the eye sees than the roving of the appetite. Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don’t have. It's better to enjoy what we have than to always want something else, because that makes no more sense than chasing the wind. But oh the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!
