Proverbs of a 39 yr old man

If you belong to this world then you speak from the world’s viewpoint, and the world listens to you. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Do not love the world nor the things in the world. The spirit of the age wants to conform you to the ever changing pattern of this world. As sin increases so does destruction in this world. Remember while in this world you are being judged daily. Either by popular opinion or by the very ones we love. We are judged by the color of our skin, by our nationality, financial status, religion, doctrine or creed, education, personality, beauty, disability, criminality, social status and power. We are being watched by all to see how we will live. The LORD God has told us what is right and what he demands: "See that justice is done, let mercy be your first concern, and humbly obey your God." People have there preconceived ideas, judgments, and stereotypes that they hold passionately in this world. And more often than not we will not be able to do anything to change peoples hearts and opinions about us. Be careful to live properly among your unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse you of doing wrong, they will see your honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world. Yes, the only thing we can do is to honor God by the way we live. He will give us honor before the people of this world. And as we let our light shine before others, they will see our good works and give glory to our Father who is in heaven. But first we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Then we will be able to test and approve what God’s will is; his good, pleasing and perfect will. When we are judged by the Lord, we are being disciplined so that we will not be condemned along with the world. We are in this world, but called not to be of it. And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. When people’s lives please the LORD, even their enemies are at peace with them.
