Proverbs of a 39 yr old man
Everyone wants to lead but no one wants to serve. In the Kingdom the Head is suppose to be the lowliest of servants. Here in this world man tries to dominate each other and have their own personal agendas, even in the name of God. But among you it will be different. Whoever wants to be a leader among you must be your servant, and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your willing and humble slave; just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many paying the price to set them free from the penalty of sin. The best leaders are raised up from there humility. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up. Its when we get our big head in the way that God has to bring us low to his feet again. From that position we can be crowned with glory and honor and remove our pride and shame. But we do see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. God, for whom and through whom everything was made, chose to bring many children into glory. And it was only right that he should make Jesus, through his suffering, a perfect leader, fit to bring them into their salvation.
Jesus is the Head of his Body, and He humbly serves it. If your a Head, wear humility as a crown.
