Oh To Be Wise Meditations

So many people will not give up something for someone they love. Even if it kills them. Love is a daily sacrifice that we must submit to in any relationship. Pride makes you selfish. Your flesh is never satisfied as it dies in gluttony. Starved of real lasting and eternal things. Others wish they could have the chance that others have. Those who squander what good they have for a piece of lazy bread like Esau. A good soul is hard to find in this wicked world. I think in the Christmas story of Scrooge he was faced with choosing the love of a woman or money and he chose love of money. It’s always amazing to see when the odds beaten. When the under dog gets the girl. But sadly in this sinful world the cruel and heartless take the good hearted with them into the depths of hell. Be careful you don’t get tempted beyond return. Dear brothers and sisters, if another believer is overcome by some sin, you who are godly should gently and humbly help that person back onto the right path. And be careful not to fall into the same temptation yourself. Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
