Proverbs of a 40 yr. old man
I don't need a bucket list anymore. This world is passing away along with all its desires and our bucket lists. Make peace with this: you will die and never accomplish all the things you wanted to do and needed to do. But have hope in this: We are looking forward to the new heavens and new earth The LORD has promised, a world filled with His righteousness. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind. Amen. Against its will, all creation was subjected to God’s curse. But with eager hope, the creation looks forward to the day when it will join God’s children in glorious freedom from death and decay. Violence will disappear from your land; the desolation and destruction of war will end. Salvation will surround you like city walls, and praise will be on the lips of all who enter there. No longer will you need the sun to shine by day, nor the moon to give its light by night, for the LORD your God will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun will never set; your moon will not go down. For the LORD will be your everlasting light. Your days of mourning will come to an end. All your people will be righteous. They will possess their land forever, for I will plant them there with my own hands in order to bring myself glory. The smallest family will become a thousand people, and the tiniest group will become a mighty nation. At the right time, I, the LORD, will make it happen. Amen. Take heart, my friend, the Lord Jesus is with us. As He has been all the days of our lives. Our assurance every morning and our defender in the night. The only bucket list to make sure we strive for in this world is know Jesus Christ as LORD and to weep daily for the lost in this world. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.
