Proverbs of a 40 yr old man
There are so many things we know little of yet we tend to think we know it all. And it is easier to ask questions than to answer them. To have faith in God is more than religion alone. There is an amazing science to our faith where as we seek the truth of God in Christ, all things begin to be added unto us. Our knowledge increases and we start to hunger and thirst for more answers. Thats ok, because the LORD is the author of science. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities, his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Just ask the animals, and they will teach you. Ask the birds of the sky, and they will tell you. Speak to the earth, and it will instruct you. Let the fish in the sea speak to you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this? For the life of every living thing is in his hand, and the breath of every human being. Does not the ear test words as the tongue tastes food? Is not wisdom found among the aged? Does not long life bring understanding? To God belong wisdom and power; counsel and understanding are his. What he tears down cannot be rebuilt; those he imprisons cannot be released. If he holds back the waters, there is drought; if he lets them loose, they devastate the land. To him belong strength and insight; both deceived and deceiver are his. Amen. There is a beautiufl symmetry and science to our faith. Yes, of making many books there is no end, and much study wearies the body. But there is a science worth studying found in the Gospel of Jesus. How His heart and Spirit connects to our heart and spirit. (For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Heb. 8:10) God created you with so much complexity and intricacy. He did that so you would look for His signature in your heart. Jesus is the truth we have all been waiting for. He takes faith and science and gives us real understanding and reasoning to live from. To know Him is the answer for every question you have about science and religion.
