Proverbs of a 41 yr. Old man
We live in a broken world that God allows even the unthinkable and unimaginable to happen. People are flawed and make mistakes; it's in their nature. We need to be ready for people to make mistakes and cover them, many times save them from further damage. Accidents happened, and unintentional consequences happen. Even in the willful sins people do we can expect and meet people where there at. What I am trying to say is we need to realize people will make mistakes. And can you protect others and yourself from further injury and suffering. Don't just chalk it up to someone's else foolishness and not prepare. It's like driving a car you, you drive not only for you and your people in the car but also thinking ahead and protecting your neighbor driving alongside you from some crazy mistake or action. You move over out of the fast lane so that others can move quickly ahead and not maneuver themselves around you in anger and distraction. You drive the speed limit so that people can follow a steady pace and not drive aggressively behind you. Those who speed ahead eventually are humbled without your help. This is a small example of how we need to practice being ready for people's mistakes. And that these things will happen, and we need to have a better solutions and answer. Many times, we need to protect people from themselves, and that's easier said than done. Not my problem you may say, but The LORD Jesus says you are your brother's keeper. Christ's blood speaks louder than Abel's blood of justice. Look after your neighbor and his interests. And watch to help him not make mistakes. Woe to the one who has no one to look after him. At least two or three can look after one another. But if one falls in a pit, who can help him out? We need to forgive others as we want to be forgiven. We need to treat others how we want to be treated. We will not be perfect in this, but we can work on being blameless as we look after one another's hearts and lives. The LORD Jesus has given us a great mathematical number to work with in practicing forgiveness, seven times, but seventy-seven times. Matthew 18:21 starts off, "Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. Amen. So watch yourselves. “If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them. Also, make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Just the LORD Jesus is our keeper we are called to be our neighbors' keeper.
