Proverbs of a 41 yr. old man
So much has to die to keep you alive. Let me explain. Scripture says God gives rain to both the just and the unjust. Meaning He provides and sustains all people regardless whether they acknowledge Him or not. The reason why is the plan of salvation before the beginning of the world. In all Adam must die but all in Christ will live. This is why Adam and Eve weren't struck dead at the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Jesus existed before anything was created and is supreme over all creation, for through him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see, such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world.
Everything was created through him and for him. He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together. Jesus is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. All creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God. Amen. You don't have to look to far to see how you are being sustained by things dying. God made it that way from the beginning. Like Abraham and Isaac, there has always been that ram caught by its horns in a thicket giving its life for humanity. How many animal sacrifices were made in the Old Testament to cover our sin and death? It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins. That is why, when Christ came into the world, he said to God, “You did not want animal sacrifices or sin offerings. But you have given me a body to offer. Amen. Think about our very own bodies programmed to be sustained by God in Christ. Our bodies are made up of cells that have to die to keep you alive. To keep you alive, certain cells within your body constantly die and are replaced by new ones; this process is essential for things like tissue repair, immune function, and normal development, meaning that on a microscopic level, "death" is a necessary part of life. Creation dies. Jesus died. Our bodies die. Things around us have to die to keep us alive. This should beg the question, Can we let go? Of our wants, things, desires, passions, our very lives? We must if we would find real life, abundant life, and eternal life. Life in service to the King is not our own. It’s better. Only in dying are we raised to the newness of life provided in Christ. John 12:24-26 I tell you the truth, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds. The man who loves his life will lose it, while the man who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life. Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. Amen. Only in dying are more seeds produced, and therefore, more fruit. Our lives are for God and for others. Dying so that others may live, so that we can truly live like we're dying, because we are. Be humbled in knowing that you are being sustained of very life of Jesus our LORD. Scripture says it is wise to think about death. I think God wants us to make peace with death and give us abundant life now and even for eternity. Jesus died and rose again and He lives to intercede. Because He lives we live. So much around us that is sustained by the hand of God. If only we would live for Jesus the way He died for us. Open your eyes and see that you are miserable, blind, naked, and dead without Him. You need the Life of God found only in the Spirit of Christ that raise Jesus from the dead! The very cells of Jesus body will give us life again to our mortal bodies!
