Good morning brother,The LORD will encourage you through

God is merciful and gracious, understanding of our human frailties. God's willingness to meet Gideon's request for God to give a sign through the fleece is amazing.God is ready to assist us to grow in our faith. Both the fleece and the Midianite's dream show God's desire to assist.

God desires to build our confidence in him, not our own strength. Pride and boasting are destructive.

God delights to work through those too weak to act on their own.

God is so faithful to strengthen his servant -- whom he found fearfully threshing wheat in a winepress -- to the point where he can lead 300 men against 135,000! God can strengthen you, too. If you feel too weak for the task he has set before you, like Gideon, ask him to strengthen your faith. God is in the faith-strengthening business! Now encouraged, Gideon returns to the camp, and calls them from their sleep with the same words with which God called him an hour or two previously: "Get up! The LORD has given the Midianite camp into your hands" (7:15)

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ ‭

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬

And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. ‭‭John‬ ‭14‬:‭13‬ ‭

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭5‬:‭22‬-‭23‬ ‭

“I know the greatness of the Lord— that our Lord is greater than any other god. The Lord does whatever pleases him throughout all heaven and earth, and on the seas and in their depths.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭135‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Sir,” the invalid replied, “I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk. John‬ ‭5‬:‭7‬-‭8

Gideon destroyed Midian’s God Baal.

God is always in control even in the chaos, even in the suffering and battle.

But I have Prayed for Thee, that Thy Faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy Brethren. Luke 22:32

Before this, God had showed Gideon something to give him confidence in God’s promise. Now God repeated this method. He sent Gideon to get a message. He gave him that message by the men from Midian. With his servant, Gideon went into their camp. He went at night. He went to a place where the best soldiers were guarding the camp. The writer repeats that the soldiers were very many in number. That shows us how difficult the task was. Gideon heard a soldier who was describing a dream. In that dream, a loaf of bread knocked over a tent. The bread was like *Israel’s poor farmers. The tent was like the army from Midian. The soldier said that God had given Midian’s army and the whole camp to Gideon. The men from Midian were afraid. God would certainly act. This message greatly encouraged Gideon.

In Our Weakness He is Strong

In weakness Gideon waited with his 300 men for God’s next instructions.  He also knew for sure that God deserved all the glory if they won the battle.

Events fell speedily into place like rows of tumbling dominoes.

God tells Gideon to get up and go fight! That the victory is in his hands.  But God also lets him know if he's afraid to just slip down to the enemy camp and he'll hear something to strengthen him.

When Gideon goes down to the camp he sees a massive army, “…as numerous as locusts; and their camels were without number, as numerous as the sand on the seashore.” (Jgs 7:12)

What he saw wasn’t encouraging.  But he was told to listen.

Then Gideon hears a soldier relate a troubling dream he’d just had. His friend interprets the dream. “This is nothing less than the sword of Gideon… a man of Israel; God has given Midian and all the camp into his hand.” (Jgs 7:14)

Gideon immediately bows to the ground to worship God.

Speak Gods word. Be encouraged by speaking his word.

Thank you for another great day of zoom battle prayer.
