Oh To Be Wise Meditations

God's eternal power and character cannot be seen. But from the beginning of creation, God has shown what these are like by all he has made. From heaven God shows how angry he is with all the wicked and evil things that sinful people do to crush the truth. God punishes them, because what can be known about God is plain to them, for God himself made it plain. Truth is evident all around you, no one likes to be lied to. Truth in love is best given with an overflow of hope. Doom and gloom is harsh ether to the truth, and is sold as a lie to make it less evident. The Lord has not left himself without testimony: He has shown kindness by giving you rain from heaven and crops in their seasons; he provides you with plenty of food and fills your hearts with joy." Yes, the Lord can be trusted, let his creation give you assurance that he tells no lies. He is a God of hope and not gloom. Ask the animals, and they will instruct you; ask the birds of the air, and they will tell you. or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you. Which of all these does not know that the hand of the LORD has done this?
