Earn it. Do not cheat yourself by handout or stealing. The Lord God has put you there for a reason, to work hard at it and take to care of it. Whatever presents itself for you to do, do it with all your might, because there is no work, planning, knowledge, or skill in the grave. If your still breathing never give up. Eagerly follow the Holy Spirit and serve the Lord. By sowing righteousness for yourselves you reap the fruit of unfailing love. Yes, earn it by breaking up your unplowed ground in your life. Don't assume fertile ground be the break through. For the time to seek the Lord is now, until he comes and showers his righteousness on you. Worship the Lord, he will send give you saving power down like rain. Drip down, O heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness. Let the earth open up that salvation may sprout and righteousness spring up with it. Yes, Lord created in me a pure heart that I may not sin against thee. 

Your Salvation cannot be earned but I must receive it with great fear and trembling. Study Eph. 2:8
