Oh To Be Wise Meditations

Not everything is up to chance. Some things happen for a reason and other things just cannot be explained. But God still wants you to plan and make careful decisions. Loose way of living leaves you vulnerable to mistakes and folly. Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” You should say, "If the Lord lets us live, we will do these things." Things can change in a moment and lives can be redirect to different paths. Don't worry about tomorrow. It will take care of itself. You have enough to worry about today. And today is what The Lord wants you to care about. What can you do right now to make a change, to correct a wrong, or to find a way. God is able to make all things possible, so if nothing changes allow God to direct your steps. He has a plan for your life and it may be something that takes time. Think about how many people die young or take years to accomplish their dreams. The only reason people succeed is because God allows it, both good and evil. As we live in God, our love grows more perfect. We learn not to be afraid on the day of judgment because we can face him with confidence knowing we are living like Jesus here in this world. A real love for others will chase earthly worries away. The thought of being punished is what makes us afraid, but it shows that we have not really learned to love. Developing your relationship with Jesus is key to following the perfect plan of God for your life. The plans of the LORD stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. The LORD blocks the plans of the nations. He frustrates the schemes of the people of the world.
