Oh To Be Wise Meditations
Trust in the Lord and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty. Good and quickly seldom meet. A well done job takes time and effort. Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established. You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be! It will take good work over time. As Rome wasn't built in a day, things we work at will not bear fruit right way. But blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in His ways! They are like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does. Slowly but surely you will reap the hard work you have sown. Not so with the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. There efforts blow and go out the window because they planted evil and reaped a whirlwind. We are growing in our faith daily through relationship with Jesus. No rush, let his love settle in our hearts as we take stock in Him. Soon and very soon we will reap eternal life before our very eyes.
