Oh To Be Wise Meditations

My right hand is so busy in the things of God that my left hand of personal gain has not had the chance to catch up. With my right hand I care for the body of Christ, I minister to those in need, and I look to be a blessing wherever the Spirit leads. But my left hand is no slouch, it's stays busy in caring for my family, staying temperate, and working hard in all my work endeavors. What I try to avoid is to work so hard to gain applause from people, because that's all the reward I will get if I start getting prideful. Start wanting attention that turns into self pity, instead of working hard on glorifying God expecting nothing in return. Jesus has already given his all for me, and if I never become famous or even get a thank you from a broken world. It would all be still worth it because of this: To be apart of the resurrection of the righteousness. Good people will be glad when they see the wicked getting what they deserve, and they will wash their feet in their enemies' blood. Then people will say, “Surely the righteous still are rewarded; surely there is a God who judges the earth.” Give your gifts in private, and your Father, who sees everything, will reward you. For in so doing, you will heap burning coals on his head, and the LORD will reward you. Deep concept to close with: It may be that the LORD will look on the wrong done to me, and that the LORD will repay me with good for his cursing today.”
