Oh To Be Wise Meditations

The Kingdom in your prayer closet. When you pray, go into a room alone and close the door. Pray to your Father in private. He knows what is done in private and will reward you. Amazing to think we have access to the Kingdom in that secret place with the LORD. Jesus says in Matt. 6:5 to not pray in public to be noticed. You would think to public prayer is something powerful where Heaven meets Earth and people can hear from the LORD. The problem is our hearts. We all can before men and actually become prideful in our prayers. The Kingdom of Heaven is high above our ways, and when we treat it ordinary we lose the power of the Gospel. We have received our reward already before men by claiming the name of Jesus. I think there is something deeper here to look at. Be careful not to perform your righteous acts before men to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. Prayer can be a righteous act if we use it for the Kingdom and not for pride or mammon. In times of trouble and tribulation secret prayer can get us through them. We are to pray in Jesus name and trust in his precious promises. The moment we treat prayer like a show or lottery, the Kingdom of God is lost and its all about yours. See, I have warned you about this ahead of time. “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. I share this verse to remind that Jesus is coming soon to receive a Kingdom that will never be shaken. You need to start pursuing personal prayer now in the Spirit, growing in relationship with Christ. There will be many that will come to there inner rooms to prayer and find out its too late. Jesus will come with his fury and vengeance, and you will have missed His Grace and Mercy in that personal room prayer.
