Proverbs of a 37 yr old man
You worry more when you become wiser. You will suffer more when you understand more. When you know more about people and about situations, you will worry more. You will think about whether you should help to discover a solution to the problems. You will be sad because people suffer. And you will not always understand why some things go wrong. So do not be overrighteous, neither be overwise, why destroy yourself? On the other hand, don’t be too wicked either. Don’t be a fool! Why die before your time? It is good to grasp the one and not let go of the other. Whoever fears God will avoid all extremes. I know that everything God does endures forever; nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God does it so that they should fear Him. Because of the privilege and authority God has given us, give attention to this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourself, measuring yourself by the faith God has given us. God has treated us with undeserved grace! He has made us what we are, and his grace wasn't wasted. Though you have labored and toiled in your life and others, it was really God's grace at work and not you.
