Proverbs of a 38 yr old mam

You cannot handle pride on your own. Yes, you can take pride in something and be the hardest worker you can be. But pride needs to be kept in check and not openly presented to everything and everyone. It will destroy you like it has destroyed the devil himself. The only safe place to take pride in is in the LORD. As the Scriptures say, “If you want to boast, boast only about the LORD.” For He alone turns people from wrongdoing and keeps them from pride. If God does not humble you, you become like beasts of the field, not knowing right from wrong. People who are proud will soon be disgraced. It is wiser to be modest. Showing respect to the LORD will make you wise, and being humble will bring honor to you. Pride is something you should stay away from if its not tied into giving glory to our LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. He has no use for conceited people, but shows favor to those who are humble. Don't you know if you love the world, you are God's enemies? And if you decide to be a friend of the world, you make yourself an enemy of God. Do you doubt the Scriptures that say, "God truly cares about the Spirit he has put in us"? In fact, God treats us with even greater kindness, just as the Scriptures say, "God opposes everyone who is proud, but he blesses all who are humble with undeserved grace." He gives us more and more grace through the power of the Holy Spirit to defy sin and live an obedient life that reflects both our faith and our gratitude for our salvation.
