Proverbs of a 38 yr old man
In the future there is reserved for me the victor’s crown of righteousness for being right with God and doing right, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that great day. And not only to me, but also to all those who have loved and longed for and welcomed His appearing. This is why we suffer and are not ashamed! We know the one we have faith in, and we are sure he can guard until the last day what he has trusted us with. Yes, guard the treasure entrusted to you, with the help of the Holy Spirit who dwells in us. For God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was his plan from before the beginning of time: to show us his grace through Christ Jesus. And now he has made all of this plain to us by the appearing of Christ Jesus, our Savior. He broke the power of death and illuminated the way to life and immortality through the Good News. Let the faithful hold on his own way, and let him that is pure of hands take courage. In that day the LORD Almighty will be a glorious crown, a beautiful wreath for the remnant of his people.
