A growing confidence. But when you ask for something, you must have faith and not doubt. Anyone who doubts is like an ocean wave tossed around in a storm. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. You once hid in the shadows of ignorance and fear. Never believing God for anything but only trusting in what you can see with your own eyes. Even when you prayed you only ask for selfish reasons. But praise God now you have a growing confidence in Christ. Daily you have not departed from his commands, but have treasured his words more than necessary food. A rising tension is in your heart that you believe God for everything. With a quiet confidence in God you persevere more than ever, counting trials and tribulations as a building of character and a further eternal purpose. Even in prayer you believe God can raise anything from the dead! Any situation or circumstance you trust God in Christ will work miracles in his own way and time. Your growing confidence in Jesus is like a flower stretched out in full bloom even while the storms of life pass over. You smirk at evil and wickedness, you beat your chest as your enemies surround you on every side. Yes, you have a growing confidence that God can do the impossible. In the fear of the LORD there is strong confidence, and His children will have a place of refuge. So don't be afraid of sudden disasters or storms that strike those who are evil. For the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from a snare. Those who have a growing trust in the LORD will be like Mt. Zion. The fruit of that righteousness will be peace; its effect will be quietness and confidence forever.
