Proverbs of a 38 yr old man

The human underdog. Everyone loves the underdog. It is a competitor thought to have little chance of winning in a fight or contest. We once were dead because of our disobedience and our many sins. Living in sin, just like the rest of the world and obeying the devil, the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. The greatest underdog story is redemption of poor broken souls redeemed by the blood and life of Jesus! Yes, dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the Cross. The enemy of our souls left humanity for dead on the way to becoming the prince of this world. But God had other plans, in fact the greatest plan of all, the Gospel! Oh the audacity of Jesus, to look at a condemned sinner who has broken the laws of God and then say Go and sin no more. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent. Listen, It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved! Everyone loves the underdog. Its time for us to believe in God. It will change your life, from the smallest to the greatest. All humanity is lost without God with no hope for everlasting life. Stuck in a life of judgment and accusation from the devil himself. But in Christ you can even be more than the human underdog, yes, you can and will be a conqueror. One who overcomes this world by the blood of the Lamb! For Jesus was sent by God. He speaks God’s words, for God gives him the Spirit without limit. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. When you feel like giving up, remember Jesus never gave up on you on the Cross. Children, you belong to God, and you have defeated these enemies. God's Spirit is in you and is more powerful than the one who is in the world.
